Take God with You Through Life – A Gentle Reminder for the Journey Ahead

Rooted in Truth, Anchored in Wisdom

Dear friend,

There’s a quiet truth that can shift how we live every day: God is not a part of life—He is life. Everything we are, everything we have, and every breath we take is because of Him.

He is the Giver of every good thing, from the simple comforts we enjoy to the deep moments of peace and joy that pass understanding. And yet, how easy it is to move through life forgetting His presence. How often do we, even unknowingly, sleepwalk through the day—wrapped in routine, distracted by deadlines, and consumed with cares?

“Because of God, everything else is. Because of Him you exist. Because of Him you have material abundance and all the satisfactions that go with them.” This quote—though spoken long ago—reminds us of something Jesus Himself taught: Abide in Me. Without Me, you can do nothing. (John 15:5) So why do we forget? Why do we postpone prayer or rush through Scripture reading as if it's a task rather than a lifeline? There is no condemnation here—just a loving invitation: Come back to God. Walk with Him again.

Take God with You Through the Day

Don’t wait until Sunday to talk to Him. Speak with Him in the morning before your feet hit the floor. Talk to Him while you’re driving, folding laundry, or sipping your coffee. Let your heart carry a background hum of prayer all day long. “Perform your duties in this world consciously, but keep your engagement with God without fail.” The world says you’re too busy for God. But God says, “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

Let Nothing Steal Your Peace In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to lose our peace over small things—traffic, a cold coffee, a sharp word from someone we love. But when we walk closely with God, we begin to experience a steady peace that the world can’t touch. “Let nothing take away your peace. Blame no one else for your unhappiness. If you are mistreated by others, seek the fault in yourself.” This isn’t self-condemnation—it’s empowerment. When you stop blaming others for your peace, you reclaim it. You begin to live not out of reaction, but out of reflection—anchored in God's presence. “If you rant and rage through life… you won’t have even begun to realize that God is within you.”

Pursue God with Passion

How badly do we want to know Him—not just know about Him, but truly walk with Him? “As the lover longs for the beloved, as the drowning man gasps for breath, so must you desire God.” We chase so many things—success, security, comfort. But Scripture tells us, “Seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33) He is not hiding from us. He’s waiting for us to long for Him more than anything else. “When I refused to give up until He responded, the most beautiful answer came…” That line touched me deeply—because we’ve all had seasons where God felt far away. But as the psalmist said, “The Lord is near to all who call on Him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18)

You Are More Than Flesh and Bone

I am not the body. I am joy. I am light. I am wisdom. I am love.” You were made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). You are spirit first, beloved, and eternal. This life—this world—isn’t the end. It's just the beginning. Even Jesus reminded us: “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink… Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” (Matthew 6:25) In every moment—especially in suffering or stress—we can shift our perspective by remembering: I am God’s. He dwells within me. And He is enough.
